What this data measures

A scatterplot of grid reliability (SAIDI) versus generation source levels (in TWh) by state, showing a more granular view of how much of each fuel source a state uses relative to its reliability performance.

How this data is constructed

SAIDI data come from the EIA Form EIA-861 Reliability Supplement. Generation source levels come from the EIA State Electricity Profiles (Form EIA-923). Each dot represents one state in the selected year.
