What this data measures

A scatterplot of grid reliability (SAIDI) versus the share of electricity generated from each fuel source by state. This explores how the generation mix relates to reliability outcomes across states.

How this data is constructed

SAIDI data come from the EIA Form EIA-861 Reliability Supplement. Generation source shares are computed from the EIA State Electricity Profiles. Each dot represents one state in the selected year.
